Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists are experts in the study of the human body and movement.  They assess and diagnose acute and chronic neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.  Treatment that follows consists of manual therapy, specific exercise and modalities to restore movement, decrease pain and improve your physical function.


 

Acupuncture and Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS)

An ancient therapeutic method,  now widely accepted in modern medicine, acupuncture involves the placement of fine needles in specific areas of the body.   Proven safe and effective, acupuncture is used  to encourage natural healing, reduce pain and improve function.

Intermuscular Stimulation (IMS) is a specific acupuncture technique used to decrease pain by desensitizing supersensitive structures, resulting in restored motor function.


 

Neuro-rehabilitation

Neuro-rehabilitation is Physiotherapy for clients who have suffered strokes, acquired brain injury, brain tumors, or diseases such as Parkinson's or Multiple Sclerosis.  Physiotherapists specialize in the analysis of the individual from a functional perspective.  They work on improving sitting trunk stability, independent mobility and gait retraining.


 

Kinesiology

Kinesiologists are specialists in personal training  exercise design, and management of clinical conditions.  Kinesiologists collaborate with physiotherapists and other health care specialists to provide relief from injury and maximize one's return to sport and activity.


 

Osteopathy

Osteopathic Manual Therapy is a holistic, hands-on approach to treating pain and dysfunction that focuses on restoring movement within the body.  Osteopathy focuses on total body health by treating and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework:  joints,  muscles and spine.  Osteopathy can help with improvement in mobility and structural stability of the body.  As that happens, circulatory, nervous and lymphatic systems function more effectively.


 

Kinesiology Taping

Leukotape-K. The proper application of kinesiology tape can effectively re-educate the motor system, relieving pain and allowing one to return to activity sooner. InsideOut therapists are leaders in the application and instruction of this popular and higly effective modality.  


 

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy involves the manipulation of the body's muscle and fascial system.   It it used for specific therapeutic purposes or injury prevention as it works to improve the  flexability of the body's tissues.
