Come and see what Nordic Pole Walking is all about. Jennifer Howey (National Master Nordic Pole Walking Trainer) and Peter Burrill (Nordic Pole Walking Instructor), both from InsideOut Physiotherapy & Wellness Group in Toronto, will discuss the many health benefits and background scientific research behind Nordic Pole Walking. Then you will get a chance to walk with the poles yourself and understand some of the basic pole walking technique.
Our goal is to have you walk away from this seminar with a new found interest and desire to add Nordic Pole Walking into your lifestyle of improving your physical activity and mobility. If you can walk.... you can pole walk ! People of any age and fitness level are welcome.
Walking poles will be provided. Poles will be avilable for purchase.
What to wear: appropriate clothing based on weather (will be outside for the demonstration, weather permitting), comfortable walking shoes / boots.
